Using a tape measure, take your actual body measurements without clothes on.

  • Neck Opening: (A) (applies to the garment)
  • Shoulders: (B) Measure from the curve of your shoulder straight across to the other side. 
  • Bust: (C) Measure around the fullest part of your bust.
  • Waist: (D) Measure around your natural waist. For trousers and skirts we give the waist band measurement, for dresses the measurement is taken at the natural waist line.
  • Hip: (E) Stand with your feet together. Measure around the fullest part of your bottom at the top of your leg, 20cm below your natural waistline.
  • Rise: The distance between the front of the waist band and the crotch seam of trousers, indicating how high the waist will sit.
  • Sleeve: Measure the length from the shoulder tip to the hem of the sleeve.
  • Inside Leg: (F) Measure from the top of the inside leg at the crotch to where trousers are normally worn to.
  • Jacket, Coat, Top and Dress Length: Measure from the centre back of your neck to hemline.
  • Skirt Length: Measure from the waistband to the hemline.
